A Writing & Spoken Word Workshop Led by Grace Rossman

Young women – have you ever wanted to take the stage and claim the spotlight? Do you have poems, short stories, or other wise words to share? In this focused creative workshop, you will craft your own spoken word piece and perform it for a supportive and enthusiastic audience. Just bring a notebook, a pen, and a bit of faith, and discover how easy and exhilarating it can be to find your voice.

Grace Rossman is a passionate writer, speaker, dancer, and sushi sensei (waitress at Bizen Japanese restaurant). Her one-woman show, Mark My Words, premiered at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in November 2015, part of her senior thesis on spoken word poetry and performance as an empowering means of self-expression. Grace has studied theater at Shakespeare & Company and Simon’s Rock, and has participated (and won!) at many local and regional poetry slams.
