The Butterfly Effect – Stages of Change

A poetry/human sculpture performance by participants in “The Butterfly Effect” Leadership Intensive for Young Women in July 2015 at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s home in Lenox, MA. The piece combines words from lists made by participants at the beginning of the week. The goal was to illustrate the many steps involved in personal transformation, from recognizing negative thoughts and feelings to identifying more positive ones, to embodying positive thoughts and feelings to joining forces with others to create change. This was part of the presentation made to friends and family at the conclusion of the week-long intensive.
