Workshop led by Robin Catalano
Lenox Town Library, Main Street, Lenox, 1 p.m.
You’ve got talent, ambition, writing skills, and great ideas. You enjoy working on your own, and you’re not afraid to learn new technology. If you love the idea of running a blog but don’t know how to create one that will stand out in the overcrowded blogosphere, this workshop will help you zip past zero. Learn how to develop a blog with an authentic voice, how to engage in conversations with your audience, and how to maximize opportunities through social media. You’ll also learn the difference between writing for blogs and for social media platforms, and how to cross-promote, build an audience, develop a content calendar, and more.
Robin Catalano is the content editor and copywriter for the Annie Selke Companies, where she manages the popular Fresh American blog and the company’s multiple social media platforms. She has worked as a professional journalist, copywriter, and editor for nearly 20 years, with articles appearing in Gourmet, Culinary Trends, Berkshire Magazine, and Berkshire Living, among others. She has edited more than three hundred fiction and nonfiction titles for publishing companies such as Penguin Putnam, Simon & Schuster, and Workman. Robin lives in upstate New York.
